1993

  • Hortim s.r.o. founded
  • Hortim International founded with the financial participation of DeGroot, a leading dutch fruit and vegetable distributor

1994

  • First construction stage of own warehouse with computerised temperature control

1995

  • Construction of depot in Brno ( 3000m2) equipped with modern technology for storage and banana ripening

1996

  • Cargo Hortim s.r.o. international and domestic haulage company established

1997

  • Expansion to Slovakia
  • Opening of Prague branch
  • Hortim International - Praha

1998

  • Brno main branch is extended to 8000m2

1999

  • Brno depot is extended to 15 000m2, 26 banana ripening chambers, Expansion of packaging technology
  • Implementation of new IT system
  • Opening of new branch in Ostrava
  • Hortim receives prestigious „Golden Ducat“ award for quality

2000

  • Extension of Prague and Bratislava depots
  • Opening of Karlovy Vary branch
  • Hortim obtains the ISO 9002 certificate

2001

  • Extension of Karlovy Vary depot

2002

  • Opening of new depot in eastern Slovakia in Košice, Extension of depot in Bratislava
  • The acquisition of 70% of Hortim International by Fyffes Plc was completed on 1st Oct.2002

2006

  • extension of Brno HQ by 2500 m2
  • Fyffes demerger into Fyffes and Total Produce. Hortim becomes part of the Total Produce Group.
